Tax Administrator/Administrative Assistant

    Our client is a fast-paced, well-established company in downtown. They are creating this new role to facilitate their growth in their tax department. The incumbent will have tax filing/compliance experience, also with solid clerical/ administrative support experience to support the tax team. Duties will include but not limited to:   - dealing proficiently with correspondence received from government tax authorities, including scanning, organizing, filing and related administrative activities; -compiling working paper files and preparation of basic Canadian federal and provincial tax returns and forms, including submitting tax payments in a timely manner -assisting senior tax personnel in tracking of the number of tax filings on a regular basis, including generating reports from database -contributing to Tax Department's transition to paperless system, including scanning previous paper files, reviewing scanned files, and completing procedures for archival purposes; -assisting senior tax personnel on other tax projects in connection with prospective transactions or tax planning activities, as the need arises;   Proficiency in MS Windows skills and a no job is too small attitude are definitely a plus! This position can also suit a Bookkeeper who had experience working in an accounting firm with tax background to take this on.  Salary: $48,000- $52,000, negotiable with excellent benefits.
