Our client is a boutique firm that provides accounting, auditing and advisory services to public companies and companies looking to go public. Reporting to the partners, you will be responsible for leading and managing multiple engagements for clients in mining, technology and other industries. Duties include the following:
• Liaising with clients and partners to keep them updated on any issues. • Managing audit fieldwork that includes planning and supervising staff to ensure engagements are executed within budget and on-time. • Utilizing your technical background in IFRS, to provide financial reporting services to their clients. • Performing interim reviews for US quarterly reporting. • Reviewing financial statements preparation and accompanying notes. • Researching on complex accounting issues pertaining to public company filing requirements. • Supervising staff, providing mentoring & training and developing their technical abilities to promote professional growth. The successful candidate will be a CPA with strong audit experience, ideally on publicly-listed companies. You must be comfortable working in smaller teams and have superb interpersonal skills and leadership abilities to manage client relations and motivate staff. An understanding of Canadian public company reporting requirements and exposure to working on pubcos is preferred but will also consider candidates from the private side if they have strong audit skills. This firm provides a very positive team environment, work-life balance with minimal OT.
